  1. My partner and I regularly go to The Farmers Boy near Aldridge West Midlands. It has recently been refurnished and like many Mars ton Inns offers a Two for One menu. We have never had a bad meal, and are slowly going through the menu and the specials board. The service is first class, the staff are always pleasant even when on occasions they are rushed off their feet. Last night was a quiet night due to the dreadful snow over the last few days, as always we were greeted with a warm welcome, and our waiter Mark had the opportunity to have a little chat which was very nice. Last night I had Gammon and it was the best I have had for a long time, my partner had the fish and he also said it was very very good and he even talked me into a pudding which I never had, and it was DEVINE . If you are in this area I would most definitely recommend this pub.

  2. Deciding to go for a meal is,knowing where good food service is foremost. On 23/3/13 we made a return visit to the Whistling Wren in leigh Lancs only to receive bad service and worse food.Making our feelings known to the management the next day,not wanting to have a scene that night,re embursement was offered .One week later were still waiting !.No return phone call. no as promised email totally professional I dont think.

  3. Spur of the moment decision to visit the Peacock at Birchwood with my wife. On entering waitress Sam enquired if we were okay and we told her we were looking for a table. She quickly found a nice window table for two and took our drinks order, on returning with the drinks she then took our food order. We really enjoyed our meal in a nice atmosphere with a good and friendly service. Well done, we will return.

  4. I often visit with a friend to The Manor at Glen Parva in Leics, This month I won a meal for two, beautiful old building, patio area and childrens play area, the food is lovely, I recommend the stilton steak, the steaks are so tender and all main meals are 2 for 1…
    Will return again and again
